There is a silent aspect to bullying. Victims and bystanders often do not want to come forward to say what is going on. They feel threatened. But if we think about this, it means that they don’t trust the adults in their lives- teachers, other school personnel, parents-- to protect them. Kids need to be in a learning environment where they truly feel safe. And of course bullies are not advertising to adults that they are victimizing other kids..."

Don't feed the bully.
That's the message Jim Bisenius hammered home to hundreds of elementary students sitting on a Lakota school's gym floor in rare, rapt attention.
Almost every young hand – boys and girls alike – had gone up when the anti-bullying expert asked who among them had been bullied.

Norwich — The popular Walktober series of walking tours, talks and events encompasses 35 towns in eastern Connecticut and Massachusetts, but this year, the calendar of events requires two close-up maps of Norwich just to show the 39 walks and five special events in the Rose City.
